The kid was in the class the previous year. The linked article says he tried to explain his reasoning to the mother but “mom instincts kicked in”. So, we never really heard his side of the story.

Why do assume the upper management knew what was going on, if the offended employees never talked with them about it?  

I don’t think the response of the owners was unreasonable. If there is a string of racist/sexist things happening, then alert the management team at every occurrence. To let the resentment build, and suddenly walk out during rush hour is screwing over the other employees.

Take away the ad hominem attacks, and this article evaporates.

If black pols are saying that race-based decision making is OK, don’t be surprised if that comes back around.

Did Trump deny interviews to black reporters? I was not aware of that.
