True story:

This isn’t pro wrestling. Trump doesn’t get to ‘win’ a hearing that was about him.

I hate him, but how did Trump not win this round? Mueller basically said the President is above the law. This isn’t him pissing his pants in fear, it’s him realizing that he doesn’t need to bother with any of this bullshit. He’s not terrified. He’s beligerant.

He actually did obstruct. BUT HIS EMAILS!!!!!!

Much more likely is that he hires someone to kill people and then pardons them.

We deserved an attack dog like Ken Starr, instead we got a grumpy institutionalist companyman.

Yes and no. The intent of the policy (and it's policy, not law) was to prevent frivolous lawsuits against the president that would distract or prevent him from fulfilling his duties. I believe some of the thought was, if the president was committing crimes, he'd be impeached, then could be charged. I don't know that

Not really hard to understand why he’s Teflon, Nixon would have served his full term if Faux News existed.

Trump could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and Pelosi wouldn’t open an impeachment inquiry.

I mean, ANY other President would be straight fucked for this. Trump? Teflon, somehow.

Exactly. Strongly worded press conferences and multiple pretty please letters are ineffective from a PR standpoint. They need to yell and make a spectacle to get the American people to pay real attention. That is what Jon Stewart is doing with the 9/11 bill and it is working.

If Trump has exposed anything, it’s the weak fucking nature of the apparent laws and “norms” that govern our own government. They mean nothing.

The problem is this is too late, and this is why the other side is so good at what it does.

It would be so damn gratifying to see Trump arrested when he leaves office. It’s also a little terrifying to think that, should Trump be reelected, he might not face criminal charges for another 4 years. This whole “we can’t indict a sitting president” law needs to be dropped. It’s made our democracy an absolute joke.

Just another day where the President self impeaches right Nancy?

So the Republican strategy is to yell at a man who ran the FBI, served three tours as a Marine in Vietnam (getting injured in a firefight and still fighting and leading his platoon) about bullshit he already said he wouldn’t go into in an effort to trip him up and get him to admit that these baseless conspiracy

Clearly you haven’t watched enough Fox News because the rules of the game are who ever yells the loudest and gets the reddest wins.

The republican party hates discourse, justice and democracy. They love superstition, ignorance and committing treason with Putin and Russia to keep their ill gotten power.

I’m not watching because I need to retain brain cells today, but I find it shockingly stupid that they pile on Mueller as if he is the anti-Trump mastermind who hired himself to do a whole investigation on a thing he made up to ruin Trump to then not indict him or accuse him of anything.

The thing that angers me the most is that these arguments are proffered entirely in bad faith. They appear to have no concern whatsoever for doing their fucking jobs and asking Mueller legitimate questions germane to the investigation.
