The ending of this episode left me slapping myself for not getting why her character was named "Hope" in the first place. What made it even worse was the writers explicitly stated "Hope died" just so the denser audience members (eg. me) would get it. Probably should crack my "Hackneyed Dialogue 101" book again.
I believe you! The characterization faults a bit at times, but rebooting TR could've gone much, much worse. But I'm all about the supernatural mystery, abandoned bases, and all that jazz TReboot had is spades. The sequel has been pretty good so far, let's see if it beats the first one.
I have never heard of "norks" but that totally gets an entry in my breast thesaurus.
Good point! It is hard to imagine what it would be like in our world if we had a place like Guadosalam where you could literally talk with the dead and stand in a part of the literal afterlife. It's also interesting to see analogues of religion from our world as well. In Spira like in our world, religious practices…
You've honestly made my holiday with this comment. I thank you with an upvote.
Militaristic, quasi-religious techno-fetishists huh? At least that means they probably don't call you up for free tech support all the time.
Hooray for FFX! Probably close to one of my favorite FF stories (that I've finished so FFVI doesn't count to those gnashing their teeth). Took years and a replay or two to understand, but the disorientation of the player landing in Spira with Tidus and learning how it all fits together is thematically appropriate. I…
So… are your parents for the Railroad or the Minutemen? How do they feel about robots who can feel feelings? Do they believe that arming Outer Haven with a nuclear bomb is a valid method of deterrence? How do they feel about the rampant gentrification taking place in Animal Crossing since the new mayor showed up?
Yeah I ended up watching alternative endings and she does get a bit more likable, it's just harder to get to than some of the other characters. She sure did high-tail it out of that house before anyone else in the final scene though.
I never had much of an issue playing the story solo ,though Halo 5 on heroic is giving me a run for my money without co-op support. It was the lack of splitscreen for multiplayer that really got me. Guess I should just throw my cardboard screen divider out, eh 343i?
Other M had a fuzzy, throat-ripping baby Ridley.
I'm very tempted to spend the $10, but everyone also says to avoid spoiling it for myself so I don't even really know how it plays beyond being a weird shoot'em-up…thing. Might just be some really, really good marketing trying to get me to buy sight-unseen. Not the first time that would've worked.
I don't think the REQs are bad, in fact I like the semi-gambling feeling I get opening one. I was just being a jerk. I am really impressed reading all the stuff that has come out for free since release. It's also pretty nice of them to put some of that cash into the tournament pot.
The story follows directly after the first one and will spoil it, but they are both pretty nonsensical and crazy so don't worry too much. If you get it for the Wii U you should also get a copy of the Bayo 1 to enjoy and I recommend playing them in order. They change up the combat system a little in Bayo 2 and it can…
How timely! I just caved and got myself an Xbox Uno with Halo 5 being the carrot on the stick. Nostalgic remembrances of standing on either end of Blood Gulch and trying to snipe my friend from across the level was the final straw. And my, my how Halo has changed. I definitely do not have the reflexes or combat…
Keep us updated on Xenoblade Chronicles X! I'm sitting heavy on this fence of JRPG tropes and giant mechas and I want to get off!
That's when SE reveals themselves as the greatest Final Fantasy villains of them all and hide the holy crystal game disc from all their fans, never to be played.
Man 481 comments? You all need to get some sleep or move into the US Eastern Time Zone.
Anywho, I'll probably not be playing much thanks to quite a bit of work coming up, but I'll probably slip in some Bloodborne: Old Hunters. Luckily I stopped right before the final boss so I'm at a nice level of difficulty to take…
Bloodborne! Bloodborne! BLOODBORNE!
