I actually found this to be a beautifully drawn comic with a well written story that is well within the bounds that Nintendo would put in their own game.

You hit the nail on the head. Acts 1 and 2 are so far the most mediocre parts of the game (I'm playing through this game right now!) and as you move on the game gets progressively better
