But they won’t give me my keys back, so I’m stuck here at (redacted)

God, so much this. We’ve really shown how fucking spoiled we are and absolutely cannot handle even the slightest inconvenience. While watching idiots complain about measures to mitigate the pandemic, my mom would mention that if WWII, and the sacrifices made by everyone, were to happen today, we would totally get

After the last year or so I’ve pretty much lost all my faith in my fellow Americans. Just an absolute embarrassment and joke, so many of us can’t handle even the smallest amount of adversity.

I live in PA and commute to NoVA, the shortage is caused by people being dramatic about needing to fill every fuel container and milk jug they have because someone on facebook said so. It’s frustrating for the people that are more level headed.

What the article is say is that the real problem is people. If the last year has taught us anything, people are always the problem. We cannot trust people to do what is right and what will be most beneficial to everyone because they are afraid, selfish, and dumb.

Rural town. Middle of nowhere Virginia.

10% is a big deal in this space. Ford would kill for 10%

Dear wall street,

Not to be confused with Big Assawoman Bay

And fossil fuel subsidies?

This is so much a Ford Thing.  They always have the dumbest quality control issues.

Bullshit. The government shouldn’t be subsidizing people buying new cars, and if they are the cutoff for income should be something low like Income under $50k or so. GM isn’t wrong that they are being penalized for investing in the tech and producing cars early, but the playing field should be leveled by not having

If there is another EV tax incentive, it should only go towards affordable EVs or middle to low income people only. Luxury and high end EVs have already proven themselves to be competitive. Well off people have already shown they like and can afford EVs as well have the detached private homes that really suit EVs

“GM Is Right About”

At first I thought this is BS.  But then I remembered the fact that most cars have electric powered assist steering today.   Some glitch tells the motor that someone is trying to turn right and the assist motor kicks in an starts “helping” and I guess that could steer the car.

You know for a writer who lives in New York (I believe) I wonder how Mr. Orlove thinks all the food and basic commodities get transported to his little island. Hint: it is not on a bunch of electric trolley cars. A fuel shortage that impacts trucking and even local delivery would have a huge effect on the availability

Yet another area where the old school car companies are trying to catch up to Tesla. Roof rails. Ha! Amateurs. Come back when you can finally have your whole roof detach.

I owned a Triumph TR7 as a teenager, but I was smart enough to total it before I had to deal with any of those legendary mechanical problems.

Those that scoffed at Sergio Marchionne, when he stated that FCA was no longer going to offer cheap and simple sedans like the Dodge Dart or Chrysler 200, are the same ones that panned those vehicles.
