I’ve driven only two: one in a Kia Optima which I found to be insufferable, and one in a Golf GTI which was actually not bad. Still, as far as automatics go I’d prefer a regular one over a DCT or CVT.

That’s exactly why I, a full-fledged accountant, stopped commenting on websites years ago. It takes me great restraint not to respond to glaringly obvious misconceptions (such as companies don’t pay tax on foreign income anymore -- such a ridiculous generalization), but the blowback I’d get isn’t worth it.
I’m no engine expert, but I noticed that the torque is less than the HP on a turbo engine. I don’t recall ever seeing a forced-induction engine with more HP than torque.
