I agree. There was one here in Charlotte not too long ago for a similar price. I really, really, really love how the car looks, but I just can't imagine the upkeep on it.

In related news, an unnamed source in the U.S. Attorney's office for the Eastern District of Michigan today confirmed they are close to indicting Dr. Zetsche on attempted murder charges stemming from his former relationship with Chrysler. According to the source, beginning in 1998 "Dr. Z," as he is affectionately

What's the over-under on the timeframe for this showing up as a Buick?

I'll second this by adding a little more specificity — Paul Newman as Doc Hudson.

Sadly, it's like looking 50 years into the future...I felt the same way while watching 'Gran Torino' this past weekend. But my being a bitter curudgeon is my own doing.

I had the same feeling — here I was, some nerdy guy lying on the floor, looking underneath some of the cars, leaning just right to get the ropes or a support beam out of the picture. We'll I'm just on a roll, aren't I :)

Yeah, double facepalm applies here for more than one reason.....

Olds Toronado with the original CHMSL setup.

Finally — a Cadillac I'd replace my current Deville with and have no hesitation. Sure, I could get me a CTS or STS, but they don't have same the gravitas as this concept. This, Cadillac, this is definitely where you should be headed. If this were your Deville replacement, I'd be in the dealership tomorrow.

It's been a while since I've been so inspired — well done, jpech! Maybe this will finally be the kick in the pants I've needed to go test drive a Mustang or Challenger this weekend......

I wish they'd change names, too, especially back to real names.

WINNING!

A-goodness, a-gracious, great balls of fire!
