I think this article, your comment, the corporate shills and even the authors of this movement, miss the larger point of this idea (although they all raise a good point.): People need more support.

I get your point. It's not that you need all 500 at all times, it's just the elephant in the room - You have to sync your comics and iOS doesn't let you do this very easily. A return to the tongue in-cheek, platforming, self-aware retelling in it's 80's-ness Mario 3 and 2 worlds would be so much fun. Especially with dialog and references ala Paper Mario for Wii

I agree. Your point about Russell is solid and very indicative of how many hollywood directors feel about these games. Personally, I think Silent Hill and Mortal Kombat were the most true to their source material and are still enjoyable (if silly) movies.
