Yeah, the “fabulist” description early on made me think this was going to all just be some elaborate hoax, but turns out dude is just a charlatan. Not nearly as interesting.

I was kind of hoping that this article was about a guy getting his stupid papers published as some sort of sting on the sexual health community. The sad truth becoming more obvious was depressing.

My girlfriend’s parents routinely thank me for “putting up” with their daughter. Not for anything in particular my girlfriend does; they’re very nice people but they just like to say this fucked up thing. I always try to push back a little so hopefully they’ll cut it out. 

So if you all haven’t already done so, the podcast, “The Dropout” - is all about elizabeth and theranos and it is fantastic!  She is a terrible human being.

I love the Theranos and Holmes drama so much. Reading the Carreyrou book was so enlightneing as too how easily big names and big investors can be taken in by a good story and a good storyteller. I wonder at what point she realised she could lie through her teeth all the time and people like Henry Kissinger would…

Funny story, the Venture Capital arm of Google famously refused to invest in Theranos because they did their due diligence.

I mean, what she did was terrible and all, but I’ll give her credit for brining me and my mom closer together. My mom worked as a lab tech for forty years, and we love to goss over each new tidbit that comes out about this crazy lady.

I mean, say what you will about Elizabeth Holmes, but my god is she an amazing pioneer in the field of gender equality for massive corporate con-jobs.
