Is this a serious question? The history of black men being falsely accused by white women is long and well established in this country.

Lady gaga especially since she wants to be a voice for victims.
It’s nice of him to acknowledge the obvious and apologize. If anyone thinks that R. Kelly would be waking around free if he was assaulting Britney, Megan and Ashley from Winnetka and Wilmette, then I’ve got a bridge to sell you. Waiting to hear from Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, Lil Kim, etc. who were all happy to work with him…
It’s maddening when a woman’s life is to who she married or who her offspring is. My obituary will read “no one’s wife and mother of none is dead; therefore, no one cares.”
Wow, that’s pretty gross.
Same as you do.
I don’t think these utterances of frustration are meant to further any dialog or solve any problems. They’re meant to release frustration and that’s all they do. Not everything marginalized people say has to be pleasing to the ears of our oppressors. What you’re suggesting is commonly called “tone policing.” It…
Do women teachers ever have sex with their students? Yes. Do FAR, FAR more men teachers have sex with their students? YES. It’s so common that it rarely makes the news whereas with women it’s more of a man bites dog situation and always makes the news.
If most women supported murder like men support rape, then yeah it would be dangerous to leave women alone with people. But that’s not the case lol.
I just wanted to commend you on your extreme patience in your responses to these idiots who are clearly trying to misunderstand. <3
If you, as a person in a position of institutional power, can’t understand a marginalized person’s frustration with the systems that oppress them, you don’t really understand those systems at all.
How are you defining “life support”? what types of “life support” do you think this woman was receiving? Should anyone who resides in a nursing home for a decade or more be euthanized for costing too much?
It was almost certainly in accordance with her/her family’s wishes. Even if it wasn’t, it may not be feasible - see the horrendous battle over Terry Schiavo.
I’ll clarify. Very often, when someone is put on life support, the outcome is not yet known. The hope is, of course, that the person will recover. But once the person is on life support, unringing that bell can be legally, morally, ethically, and logistically a challenge. It’s one thing to choose not to use…
That has been argued as cruel and unusual in many courts: death by starvation/dehydration is nasty, prolonged, and painful, and med staff aren’t allowed to provide a quick and merciful overdose (that’s considered manslaughter at the least.)
My mom was in a short term rehab after getting out of the hospital for a heart bypass. I had to raise hell just to get a doctor to examine my mother - turns out she had pneumonia. I really doubt anyone would have noticed or cared until she was on death’s door if I hadn’t said something. They also gave her food with…
I’m just gonna leave this here:
If it’s a low-grade warehouse-type facility, as seems obvious to me, you’re dealing with mostly minimum-wage staff who are just there to change the sheets and diapers, not provide care. It was almost certainly one of those guys who raped her.
I’m not sure that should be your first question.
It’s long-term care, they don’t care and they don’t check hormones regularly. They watch vitals, see any dramatic changes, otherwise all they do is feed/wash/turn/diaper.
