If we were, we’d be licking yours.

If it’s any consolation...

A famous basketball player is rich; the guy who owns the team he plays for is wealthy. Better to eat the wealthy and leave the rich alone.

You can make an educated guess that Joker was always about the Joker. It was always meant to be a comic book film, including when Scorsese was involved. Don’t act like you’re too dumb to know that. You know it.

Poe’s Law, man. Poe’s Law. You’ve got someone in this very thread repeating the bogus story about the Aurora shooter impersonating the Joker. All the self-righteous mouth-breathers seem to be out for blood with this film.

Name one.

Those are some harsh words for Alan Moore. Who, at any rate, is more a heathen than a heretic.

What authority can you cite on what the Joker “should be” like?

And if you check something other than IMDb, he was one of the producers early on and then left:

That’s actually an urban legend. The only part of it that’s true is that James Holmes’ hair really was dyed - except, as you can even see in the mugshot, the color was orange-red, not green. I’m sure you’ll be relieved to know that.

I will likely understand just as little of this season as I did of the last, but at least the music will probably still be good.

“no angels”

Joker begins with Arthur being assaulted and ends with the Waynes being gunned down amidst a citywide riot. You’re a fucking idiot.

So, in support of your opinion that the film is ‘“designed to make sad white dudes feel “seen”,’ you give us a review that doesn’t say that at all and change your tune to accusing it instead of wanting to make... money? (Which renders it “not art,” because apparently you feel you haven’t made enough of a fool of

Well thank God “literally everyone else” shares your dumbass opinion, otherwise it wouldn’t be intrinsically valid and you’d have to bring forth data and arguments in its favor like the rest of us schmucks.

Gary Glitter sold the rights to his catalog before the first accusations against him were made. He’s not making any money off of this.

What is being celebrated is not an advance in female competence but one in gender parity. It really didn’t matter what they did out there, it didn’t even really even matter if they were successful. The message is not “look what women can do for NASA” but “look how many women NASA has that can do it.”

That’s what preemptive self-censorship is for. Brad Pitt starred in a film about Tibet back in the ‘90s - you think that would get greenlit nowadays?

And maybe none of that is why the Chinese government denied it distribution and you should stop defending censorship just because you happen to hate what’s being censored.
