Yes, Nolan is clearly unable to do the thing he’s already done before.

Even the title passes the Bechdel test.

The MCU pulled it off pretty well. Remember, Iron Man was a pretty “grounded” movie; it pretty much presented the world as it really is, with the caveat of a guy who invents a wearable drone. They managed to go from that to a world with magic, countless aliens, space wormholes, reality-altering, growing and

You’re trolling, I hope.

I don’t know if the Nolanverse could have scaled up into a DCEU. I can’t see Aquaman and Wonder Woman working in a “real world” setting, and a Justice League film requires someone more like Whedon and less like Nolan.

The best Batmens? Liam Neesons.

Having enjoyed Boardwalk Empire, I wouldn’t mind seeing either Michael Stuhlbarg or Jeffrey Wright as the Penguin. No particular opinion on Catwoman, but I’m hoping it’s a brunette this time.

Bavarian?

I watched the whole first (?) season and still don’t know what I think about it. The only thing I know for sure is that Jude Law was clearly eye-fucking me.

On the one hand, I wish they’d set this up much better than they did. On the other hand, since they didn’t, I kind of appreciate the lack of clarification.

Few questions were asked when she crucified people who were her prisoners and who, in turn, had crucified children. In my book, killing people who are in

Incestuous relations between siblings or between parents and children are a virtually universal taboo. Beyond that, you get variation between cultures, and also sometimes within the same culture at different points in time. It’s even stated in the previous episode that shit like this will fly among the Targaryens but

Not saying you’re wrong about the other stuff, but enough people did fall for Dany’s PR and read her cruelty and ego as badassery.

But it looked like she actually was winning the diplomatic battle. Nobody was coming to help Cersei from outside King’s Landing. Daenerys could have just burnt the Iron Fleet and then besieged the city, whose refugee-swollen population was larger than Cersei could realistically have fed, thus causing an uprising. I

You mean, an arguably correct comment that would’ve made this site and Jezebel woke-cream their pants in approval if it had been made by a prominent woman, and almost certainly has been made by women before him?

Too late.

On the one hand, I can’t wait for the GoT finale. On the other, I feel like Veep has already delivered that.
