So, we have a 2019 Bolt that’s getting the new, longer range battery pack. I’m an ex-GM master tech and the service manager showed me how the new pack comes, in a huge wooden crate that needs a forklift to move, then they use a specially made, large custom 4 wheeled dolly (substantially larger than a pallet jack) with…
where is the rooftop tent? no rooftop tent == no overlanding cred.
honestly this just looks like a bog standard ADV bike setup that I see 5 times a day in the summer around here (suburban boston)
It’s jalopnik. No research was involved. He didn’t know until the comments. But he couldn't walk it back. And he couldn't directly admit that he did zero research. So what else could he do?
But as a Black man, I can say that the Black community doesn’t need marketing that uses our slang.
Some days it appears less that someone is mad that their cheerios were peed in, and more that some asshole put cheerios in their bowl of pee.
While I don’t condone the hp wars, 182 isn’t enough. They should have figured out how to put the Ascent engine in this or something. This weighs almost 400 pounds more than my ‘15 Forester, and although it has 12 more hp, I can’t really imagine that weight isn’t noticeable. Plus, the six speed in my car probably makes…
That’s not a reasonable comparison, though. Jim-Bob is explicitly breaking the law by drinking and driving, and can thus be held accountable.
The kid intended to speed. The kid intended to drive recklessly. It should follow that anything that happens afterwards is a direct result of this kid’s intentions.
But here’s the thing, if I had screwed up and managed to kill someone with the 80hp Ford I drove as a teen my entire life would have been ruined just because. There would have been no sympathy, no it was an ‘honest mistake’.
And yes in that car I did have a panic stop to do a couple times (due to other motorists’…
“Sure, he was speeding and likely panicked and hit the wrong pedal when he realized he was about to hit someone.”
They were drunk and went for a joyride and fucked up.
“It’s a reasonable thing to suspect, given that the vehicle had apparently been found without a driver behind the wheel”
A Honda Civic, but no Honda Fit? That’s.... not right.
A lot of this is just wrong. Sure - if you have three kids and want to tow things, then something like the Honda Fit isn’t for you. No one is claiming that the Fit is perfect for everyone. Or that ‘smaller is always better’.
Nothing is easier or more convenient than getting furniture delivered. For a small fee I get someone to bring me a 300lb washing machine and even take it downstairs. Even if I had a truck I would pay for that delivery.
That isn’t how Wall St looks at it. They view like by the quarter. Immediate profit over everything else.
We have here the crossing of 3 things
Calibers look a lot like the last two generations of Subaru Crosstreks. Also, giving a car a name that evokes guns is not a great idea, at least to me. It was also in the era (Cerberus, I think) of really cheap looking Chrysler dashboard/interiors, same as the pre-facelift Caravans and Sebring/200's.
Are you thinking of the Model Y third row? Because the Model X is actually decently sized. Definitely better than something like a CX-9.
