This 100%. I’ve live in metro ATL, Death valley, and Rural Alabama. I have never found a road empty, twisty, and copless enough to push the my auto BRZ to 10/10.

Fun driving is done it spurts when you can before you get behind a camper or are pushing 25 mph above the speed limit. That why I like man manu-matic to

My current car is an automatic with a flappy-paddle gear change.

When the alternative to a MT was a really bad AT it was cause for the pitchforks. Now the AT options are really good (Mustang) and they are actually (marginally) faster to boot. Personally I would like to have a manual for an older or lower hp vehicle, but a modern vehicle would be fine with an AT and some paddles.

Electric cars are built around the batteries. You can’t just cram them in the trunk of your Chevelle.

What more could I ask for?

They are? Nothing in this post or on their FB page indicates they’re selling this with batteries, controller, etc.

Yeah, this definitely glossed over a lot of the complexities, but more importantly, a lot of the cost of going electric. Crate Electric motors are nothing new, Yamaha has an entire lineup of them. But electric swaps that have a useful range are hideously expensive.

Yeah, I’m in to the motor for low five-figures, and then I’ve got another five-figure hit for batteries? If I’ve got a small block, I’m just swapping to an LS series.

I think you’re wrong on both counts.  I predict both the Bronco and Mach E will be sustained sales hits.

Really? This thing is Miss America compared to the Model Y. Or any of the German “coupe” CUVs, for that matter.

Looks a lot cleaner and slimmer.

“This gross abomination grows uglier every time I see it.”

Dude, maybe you take up macramé and stop writing car articles if you're feeling this salty.

So that’s all the ‘pack of outright lies’ you’ve got? Honestly I’m not impressed. It would also be interesting to know how you know table salt can’t extract lithium from clay, but I realize I’m probably asking too much here.

As a journalist, do you have any proof that these claims are false?

You have exclusive reporting that the Tesla presentation was ‘outright lies’!?  WOW! That’d be big news! Do tell!

Lol. They literally linked the Lucid 9 second quarter-mile article in this one and the tone could not be any more night and day. I’m sorry but this is a bit much. Jalopnik is thrilled about performance until it isn’t? Until Tesla does it? I’m not trying to be an Elon apologist but... damn.
