the real question is, why would anyone pay >$36K for a vw when you could get a 328i for around the same price?

I used to see this car a lot going to school, this is in Davis!

If Pete was trying to waste time with a "throw-away" playact like that, why not run a fade? And why wouldn't you just run the ball in with the security of being up by 3 (w/extra pt) and let your defense hold the Patriots to a field goal at best?! Worse case scenario is Pats score a FG and the game goes into OT.

So true, knobs > screens any day! I don't see why there is this push to eliminate them

I can see replacing buttons with touch screens, but not twisty-turny knobs. This knobs need to be physical, or else functionality is lost. For example, it is pretty easy now to adjust the radio and volume while driving without looking, just by using the knobs. But when that functionality is in the form of the screen,

A Tesla Model S with a Diesel engine?

I think the guys in the pits are telling them what to adjust based on the data they're looking at while the driver is out there. Then the driver just makes the adjustments. Still impressive though

what about normal radio buttons and AC stuff?
