Man, I loved this show but it’s been gradually going downhill since Armando Iannucci left. That’s not to say it doesn’t still have its moments but it just feels like it’s all over the place and doesn’t know what it wants to do with the characters. The abortion storyline went nowhere. So did the Tom James stuff. And…

The biggest problem is that real life is far more insane than the show ever thought it could become. As American politics had descended into madness they’ve had to go further than ever.
