Like a lot of Trumps staff that came over from other people, I’m sure he knows he’ll be paid a lot of money on TV to talk trash about Trump once he’s fired. The longer he stays in the more money he makes later.

I’m sorry but if anyone is seriously considering Hidden Figures over Moonlight they’re crazy. This is exactly why Moonlight won’t beat La La Land. Divided we fall.

I actually think Steve Bannon as “Death” is more useful, though I agree it’d be great to get Rosie into a role as he’d lose his shit.

I remember around a couple weeks before the election I got my first sinking feeling. It came not from thinking Clinton might lose, so much as it seemed to me that some of those who would vote for her (and especially those who might not show up) had a secret desire to see what a Trump presidency would look like or a

Asian-Americans don’t really split to the Dems en masse historically. Nor did Latinos. That’s life.

I wish you kept talking. If only because this is part of our problem.

Thank you for this :)

I wholeheartedly agree. This must be the 20th piece I’ve read on this subject in the last 10 days. I’ll await signs of substance. Some people are offering that we are to attend BLM protests/meetings and to donate. This is somewhat comical, as white “allies” are not always welcome in the safe spaces of these meetings

Have or seemingly want to have. Leftist movements since Occupy have rejected need for leadership, which results in mixed signals and messages. As a millennial, it’s hard not to see the worst of our generation in these headless chickens of movements, that have fewer goals and are mostly interested in being heard.

Self-awareness is not policy. The proliferation of academic speak through Twitter and social media has birthed us Trump. Actionable goals are what we need, not appeals to check ourselves.

If all that’s being asked is to support a movement, most liberals already do. BLM would benefit from being more policy orientated. It would benefit by being about getting the black vote out, even when’s Killer Mike and Kaepernick say they’re staying home.

Understand that you haven’t done that to yourself. This is the paradoxical cry of the militant intersectional feminist, “Listen to me!!” You sit there confused and after a second go, “But I am?”

No one knows what they want you to do. They’re just tired of white people. Nothing more and nothing less. I get it but we live in a pluralistic society that can’t all be a safe space. Hopefully someone will come out of this militant wing who is actually interested in policy and not just self-promotion.

Where? FFS you all act like this is obvious but when anyone asks you “what do I do” you have only snark and indirect answers. Which leads to the perception that all anyone is actually saying is, “Listen to me”. But when you’re by listening to someone whose entire speech is telling you that “you aren’t shit”, you will

I think you’re making the point I am. I see no substantive offerings in the myriad of articles like this one about what anyone should do. It seems to come down to, “Make all the money I spent on a masters useful by reading MY shit.”

Yup. There’s no win. The main take away I have gotten from reading years worth of this stuff is that black women and WOC are angry. I internalize that and accept it wholeheartedly. Why wouldn’t they be? Then I ask what can I do? I am told time and time again, “Listen to us. Read us.” I stare blankly at the

These discussions are bankrupt. They plainly are. What are we even talking about?

Genuinely, what’s the goal? I keep reading articles shitting on white feminists. Fun times. What is the goal? For all your poetry, I see little more than, “Stop enjoying yourselves and listen to me”. I’m unsure why, in the slew of articles like your own, there is nothing that comes after this.

South Park called it. Thinking it was all a joke...

Talk to #neverhillary peeps like Killer Mike. We can blame right wing nut jobs all we want but he got less of them than Romney. Liberals didn’t show up as they did for Obama. Primarily the young and African-Americans.
