But...she groomed him. People can Freud their way out of anything but this is clearly a fucked up environment.

Honestly this is just the case. They do market test this stuff for years and have years of data. The olympics aren’t for sports fans — men or women. There may be sport fan overlap, but it’s not a SPORTS type of program.

Honestly, our colleges need to forcibly desegregate the student populations. If you went to a school like I did that had sizable numbers of minority students, you’d find that everyone just went to a “safe space” with peers who were usually the same race or religion or sex or whatever.

I agree with you. My take on this is that the professor is right. If we’re freeing of ourselves of the past, this room shouldn’t exist. People are talking about it being a place for women to get away from “sexual assault”, but come on...it’s a study space. There could be a space specifically dedicated to that sort of

Eh...don’t think many people are being assaulted in study spaces. If you were talking about a place where someone who had been assaulted could go that was free of men that’d be one thing, but a study space?

Uh...then join a sorority. I imagine they have them at MSU.

The thing is, it does speak to something the commentariot is always going on about. We need shows for this group and that group and this group and that group. We need a character that speaks to this group and that group and this group and that group.

Most creatives would say something like this because their art is coming from an authentic place. To them it’s not about race or sex or sexuality or attempting to speak to current dialogues, as much as it’s about bringing their own idea to life.

Eh. I think you're misconstruing things here. I'm a liberal but no one who wasn't way outside the mainstream was defending Dylan Roof or knocking his victims. Pretty plainly seen as an awful thing all around.

There’s degrees of being politically incorrect and, as another responder spoke to, Trump represents people who aren’t simply politically incorrect but folks who are right down the line racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, etc.

Exactly. They aren’t dealing in simply being politically incorrect. Perhaps I didn’t make myself clear enough. They’re racist, homophobic, and xenophobic. They aren’t just well intentioned but misguided, they’re a rotting limb of the country.

Tanking for Hillary while bringing up painful parts of her past? I think not. It’s amazing how many conspiracy theorists there are these days. Even on the left.

The thing is political correctness has become comical. So much so that us lefties have to call foul sometimes. But Trump manages to offend everyone. He is inciting violence. He disparages the disabled, women, everyone who isn’t white. He is literally shouting fire in a crowded theater.

Campaigns don’t live in a vacuum. Who amongst us expected Trump? Don’t forget that Clinton still beat Sanders better than Obama beat her. Don’t forget that compared to 2008 turnout was down by 20%. She still won.

The “resources of a 2 billion dollar foundation”...you’re clearly coming at this from an angle. Why not be a little bit more forthright about where your bias comes from?

I don’t know why it had to devolve it sarcasm at the end, but I agree with you. I’m voting for Clinton. Have been for her over Sanders from the start. That said, I found her speech hard to listen to. I’m not even kidding. Oratory is difficult and even, as you mentioned, Michelle Obama is a much more captivating

Ray Bradbury, as much as I have qualms with the dude, wasn’t far off when he thought we’d be voting for the most handsome person.

You got a lot of stars so I know you don’t need the thumbs up but I’m a little drunk and this line made me chuckle. So thumbs up!

Except he’s not. Why the comparisons? Give Malek his due without forcing him to stand side by side with Isaac.

Was going to respond to the dude and then I saw your response. Bravo :)
