Call me a sap, but I was really impressed by Ivy's last song.  I felt it worked in the moment, plus the piano arrangement was sweet - after some Googling I figured out it's a Carrie Underwood song, but it sounded like a Jason Robert Brown deep track.

Yeah, I'd give it a B+ too.  Loved Champion (perfect callback to Andy's use of 'you deserve to be a champion' in every song he writes) and Ben's nerd depression, but the magic just wasn't quite there tonight for me.  Especially since it was all of three episodes ago that Leslie promised to stop steamrolling people…and…

Sufjan is definitely the master of that particular "Christmas feel" — that whole box set is perfect for road-tripping home for Christmas at night.  "Hey Guys, It's Christmas Time", "That Was The Worst Christmas Ever", his arrangement of "Joy to the World", etc.  They're all gold.
