The last few times I’ve been out (bar or restaurant) and ordered a simple vodka martini (straight up, olives) I’ve gotten warm vodka, no vermouth, one or no olives and how does a bartender fuck that up? Its THE most basic drink. All they need is a shaker and ice. And they want to charge $18 for it. No thanks.

Given that last Saturday when I dropped by Publix to pick up lunch, at the checkout I went from “gee this yogurt parfait is gonna be tasty” to “Jesus god is one of them gonna pull out a gun?” after two dudes got into a terrifying throw down because one of them cut in front of the other in the self-checkout area…

Comcast has a stranglehold on our area, but the neighborhood’s power infrastructure is pretty much from the 40s/50s with few upgrades. So we lose power/internet/cable on the regular.
Bahn mi classic version is the ultimate take out sandwich. It can sit in the wrapper for over two hours and still be delicious. But it has very few goopy ingredients.
No hate. I liked it just fine, my husband (who’s Irish) LOVED it so, could be a cultural thing? I mean, dunno. It was a very intelligent study on friendship/relationships in a very small village and what happens when they die away, with a lot of theatrical drama added in. Also how people just do not listen when other…
The quickest way to get some poorly considered legislation passed in this country w/o much examination is to say “its bad for kids!!!” Put that label on the idea and nothing else gets discussed. This is double trouble as it also provides a convenient culprit to blame health issues on- no, it isn’t your bad choices…
