I personally find the MK8 Mute City to be the best rendition of the track. Basically the MK8 soundtrack overall is absolutely sublime.

The game still holds up as a great experience on console (I didn't experience the bugs and glitches that most people did), but with the Restored Content Mod on PC, I don't see why you would even go back to it.

Personally I don't care for all three of them. I am more fond of the mid-size cities. I can't stand their sports teams as well.

I personally avoid paying for anything other than gear (usually during discount games) whenever I go to games because of the price hiking. It also prevents me from getting distracted from the game as well when I'm not stuffing my face full of food.

To me, none of the starters are particularly bad for any generation, but the only mistake Gamefreak ever made on the starters was making 3 Fire/Fighting Types from Gen 3-5. Emboar being Fire/Steel would have worked better IMO.
