until the day we’re born with denim growing out of our dermis”

People/companies freaking out about nudity, and not freaking out about violence, will never not be one of the single dumbest things on the planet.

As a FDA certified saltine myself, god white people are so fucking fragile.

If you can somehow solve the ongoing global chip shortage for them, I’m sure they’d be happy to oblige.

They aren’t, though. This’d be like if GRRM died and his body was infested and ambulated by a rat king.

No it won’t be.

Yeah, for a (pseudo-)Mediaeval(-ish) game, the units feel like they should be equally archaic - they should double down on rods and hogsheads and sticas... They should really fix the monetary system, too - coins were always exchanged in odd numbers and most trade didn’t even use coins. “For the cloth, you get 100

I seem to recall one of the lead developers agreeing with that point now.

While I understand why veterans wouldn’t want the game fundamentally changed like that, the reason they’re giving is kind of bullshit. You can do personal loot and not have soulbound stuff. Hell you can even lower the drop rates a bit in multiplayer to compensate for the faster speed and ability to trade and even if

I mean, that depends. Bonuses aside, an unsuccessful launch makes it more likely to get less funding looking forward, a later project canceled or a personnel cut. In general being associated to a commercially successful game tends to get you more stuff that you want in that particular studio, whether through money

No, don’t mix stuff up. If you want to boycott Activision and actively campaign to impact their revenue the decision to personally buy Diablo 2 or not is not even the start of that.

But this is not ethics. This is PR.

I... really don’t like how people think about companies and brands as authors. How people think of Blizzard and Activision as different entities but somehow Vicarious Visions is Blizzard because they’ve been making this one Diablo remake is very strange.

Matt Mercer is the Mel Blanc of videogame voiceovers. He’ll be fine and, unless Blizzard pays royalties to voice actors, which I highly doubt, he’s already been paid. He will be more than fine.

I don’t Matt Mercer would mind.

truly some of the worst voice acting/writing i’ve heard in a while, i hope they don’t change it a bit

Sorry, let me rephrase that a bit.

Much as I want to agree with you, the whole point of those authenticators is that only you have physical access to it. The moment it’s put onto the cloud or any internet-accessible account, it just becomes another target.

That makes Google Auth way more secure. And they still make it relatively easy to transfer to a new device.

That’s pretty much the definition of frat-boy culture. I know, they’ve been my neighbors.
