It makes perfect sense when you think about why some people believe that inexperience is acceptable (desirable even!), and others don’t. The people who want government to work and for it to help others want experienced leadership.

Eh, I was fine with the lore dumps. It’s the inexplicable idea that only certain weapons can use certain types of ammo, which would be something fine and easily adjusted to, if the game ever explained that concept.

We got a very good (at the time) trilogy out of Rogen/Franco- Pineapple Express, This Is The End, and The Interview.

Management announced that they were going to implement monthly deep cleans a few days after laying off an employee with 10+ years of experience. No relationship between those two things, of course!

these policies are really wishes rooted in magical thinking—the idea if we get back to “normal” as quickly as possible, the pesky coronavirus problem will be solved.

Is this the same Louisiana Supreme Court that said that when a suspect stated to the cops “just give me a lawyer dog,” that he wasn’t asking for his constitutionally-guaranteed lawyer, but asking for a canine attorney?

In what is starting to seem more like a pattern than an outlier, Black Lives Matter activist Cori Bush has defeated 10-term incumbent William Lacy Clay, the U.S. Representative for Missouri’s first Congressional District, in the state’s Democratic primary.

It’s sad that the best evidence that we have that Trump can read is him sounding out basic-ass words that everyone should know, just by being around people.  Seriously, what staffer is blocking Trump from reading a speech once before he gives it, and how can I buy them a beer for proving their boss’ utter stupidity?

There’s probably no first amendment issue. Time, place, and manner restrictions on speech, so long as they’re neutral to the speech itself, have almost always been upheld as acceptable.

My MIL made that same point recently - kids aren’t dying from this virus so why are we keeping schools closed? Even if kids somehow can’t be killed by the virus (they can), people understand that schools also have adults working at them, right? And that kids can certainly be infected, before going home and infecting

Trump is trying to make a play to get Gorsuch on his side, as part of a broader pitch to win over SCOTUS.

But she’s also made clear that, like Biden, she could be viewed as a transitional figure in the Democratic Party who currently harbors little interest in seeking the White House herself when he leaves office.

I mean, she’s getting paid $15,000 a month to date Junior.

Man, I am not looking forward to the Republicans at the Lincoln Project going after Biden if Trump is defeated.

What’s up with The Slot? It seems not an insubstantial amount of Jez’s political stuff doesn’t get cross-posted under this subblog. At least once a week, Barf Bag gets posted only to its own subblog, and there have been a lot of articles recently that were posted on Jez proper, but not on The Slot.

his unthreatening blandness is very attractive after four years of Trump.

Honestly, if you’re mad about the cookies popup, blame the EU’s GDPR law. That’s 100% the cause of these popups.

I nearly scrolled past a 16 minute video, but that was incredibly fun. Been a while since I’ve seen someone melt down like that!

At this point, we’ve just got to hope that Ivanka turns state’s witness when shit starts to go down. Don Jr. is too obsessed with his father, and the other brother is too stupid. The only thing that will truly tear these people apart is themselves.

Let them eat beans. We’re not even classy enough for cake at this point.
