Results from Democratic primaries don’t mean much for “[d]reams of a leftward shift.” It’s a Democratic primary, where (usually) only Democrats vote.  It’s not surprising to see progressives win over milquetoast centrists. Hell, the final results in safely D districts don’t really matter for trends.

I’ll take that bet. Much more likely they try to pack in as many liberals as possible into their districts to make others more competitive.
