Honestly, I keep finding myself returning to Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars as a middle chapter.  Tartakovsky, given fewer episodes to work with, is less concerned with people liking Anakin, so he can immediately pivot into his darkness.

Chevy Chase quickly becomes a minor villain in the show, and it seems like part of the reason for this is that everyone on the writing staff hated him as well. Advanced Dungeons and Dragons turns into a group vs. Chevy Chase episode, so it’s necessarily Chase-heavy, so you might want to figure out whether that’s worth…
