@Jason C: The weather should substitute stuff like that. "Rainy" can substitute to "Pissy". Cold/Windy can sub to "Poopy" Stuff like that.

I will also have to comment on the illegality of tire-chains. In the Sierra Nevadas, you are actually forced to use tirechains if it is snowing, AND you have a vehicle over 6000lbs GVRW or 2wd only. Even with M+S rated tires. I grew up driving in Tahoe every weekend in the winter. Tirechains are the only thing…
