My Zojirush water boiler which sings happy songs and holds hot water at the perfect temperature for making green tea. Analog kettles are downright barbaric in comparison. As an old-Asian-lady-in-training, I've even taken to just drinking hot water straight up with nothing added, which means I'm going to shrink two

If I do anything different in the shower, it's that I don't wash my face with a cleanser (I do that the night before, it's just better for my skin) and in the summer when I'm not hiding under the refuge of hot water, I take 'submarine showers' where I turn off the water before lathering up. Don't know why.

That's the one. I just remember the spouse showing me and at the time (while folding like four loads of laundry) I couldn't be buggered to stop what I was doing to learn it. Impressive, but I didn't care enough to pick it up. Dead useful when traveling, though.

Three of them that I'm particularly happy with:

I frakking love breakfast. If I can take the time to make a big breakfast, I end up needing just that and no small snacks of any kind until well after lunch at noon. There's a diner in town that serves huge omelets with cheese and ham with toast and hash browns and coffee for under $10.

Last year most of the family I celebrate Thanksgiving with went up to Wisconsin, and we opted out of cooking a meal out of a hotel room and instead went to a churrascaria that had a traditional Thanksgiving meal in addition to the usual fare. Best goddamn decision ever.

At first I swore that I wouldn't use a wallet case, until I kept running out to the store for ice and remembering my phone but not my credit card, or vice versa. And lately, I've really needed my phone every time I make a transaction, because I use YNAB (You Need a Budget) to track my purchases and MyFitnessPal when

I got my Distil Union case earlier this week and I'm so in love. Most wallets I have an issue with parts that need to flip over to call someone or use the screen, and show all my cards. This one is part plastic and part leather, and has a lovely ribbon to pull out the two cards I carry with me: my driver's license and

If only the music tracking wasn't limited to what was playing in the Music app, and branched out to Spotify or gMusic.

I find myself doing something different: I manage to schedule all those things for just two days a week or so. It takes some work, but it's possible, and last Saturday I got like 20+ errands and trips done in 4 hours.

On workdays I have my phone and my personal laptop in addition to my work phone and laptop (the work laptop gets locked away at my desk at night unless I have to bring work home). Having my shiny new laptop forces me to actually take my lunch break away from my desk for the full allotted hour.

Calistix Back Trainer is free for men only. Women's version is still $1 today. PPPLLLBBBBBBB.

OMG yes. In my last area, I saw someone have to get over 40 document boxes to move all the papers and stuff in their cube.

I have two options where I work: handwritten notes, or my work laptop. Long story.

Me gusta.

Rice and beans come in packages, snarf?

DEAR GOD YES. I kick myself for not taking advantage of this when I went to undergrad.

I'm a little irked that the only discount I get is with Jenny Craig. Waiting to hear back on my request for Weight Watchers, at least.
