I think it is very much dependent on how progressive the area is. I believe the adult leadership in my Troop (when I was a Scout in the 90's) wouldn't have had a problem accepting gay scouters, but the Adult Leadership Training was pretty explicit that gays and atheist were not to be members, and the Troop leadership…
