MAObama and the Demon Rats!
MAObama and the Demon Rats!
One tip that makes the multi-party dungeons a little easier… if one team is on a save point, any of the three teams can use a tent.
Fez, another great game that was too hard for me! I should add that I'm good at puzzle games that rely on spatial reasoning. I didn't have any problems with Antichamber. I'm a monster at Intelligent Qube! But these games that require you to intuit some crazy system…
Yeah, in the earlier levels I could kind of talk through the solution, like "ohhhh so I jump down here, then rewind, then jump over here, then go up here!" And then it's just a matter of executing it correctly. But in the later worlds I couldn't even tell whether the fault was in my execution or my imagining of the…
So, I've been looking forward to The Witness for a long time, and I really want to play it… but I'm getting worried that it'll be too hard for me. Braid was too hard for me. Hell, there are Braid levels that I still can't beat despite having a YouTube video of the level playing right next to me.
Yeah, this is pretty much indistinguishable from the music I actually listen to. Not sure whether that's a good sign or bad sign…
OH GOD. I am a super passive and non-confrontational person. But for some reason Chris Hardwick pisses me the fuck off. It makes me angry to look at him. No one else does this! I don't know why!
I know Phil Collins has been a punchline for years, but… I've forgotten why, exactly. Too earnest? Overexposure a couple of decades ago? Now all I can remember is that he's one of the best drummers in rock history, a great singer (so good that he could follow fucking Peter Gabriel) and songwriter, who created some of…
Don't worry about it; words are meaningless anyway.
So, I stopped watching TWD a couple of seasons ago, but I watched this clip, and… this was very clearly shot, edited, and acted as an "oh shit Glenn is in trouble!" scene. Not a "Glenn is dead" scene. Frankly I'm surprised so many people think he's supposed to be dead.
As opposed to the female brothers!
His ghost followed Alf around?
Afterbirth dropping, you say? Sold!
For my money Tetris Attack is the most engaging two-player puzzle game ever made. Its mechanics are so simple but you can do so much with it. Even the sound design is simple but perfect: you can tell exactly what your opponent is doing without ever looking at their screen, just by hearing the changing pitch of blocks…
Oh, the jokes abound. "Wow, you lasted three whole minutes that time, aklab!"
Forgot to mention that my wife and I will be playing at least 2 hours of Tetris Attack every day.
After some time away, I've been hittin' the old Binding of Isaac: Rebirth again, hard. I'm also doing an X-Files rewatch (on Season 3 now), and BoI requires just the right amount of attention where I can watch TV simultaneously. And drink.
Any love for William Sleator in this comment section? His novels were the ones that freaked me out the most as a kid and still stick with me.
YES. In 4th grade I got called to the principal's office and had a note sent home to my parents for doing a book report on a Christopher Pike book. To be fair, my report lingered on the lurid details more than it needed to.
Definitely. I read the Fear Street books, which were legitimately scary to a kid, before Goosebumps ever came out, so the latter never held much appeal to me. Christopher Pike is where it's really at though…
