Your time has come!

U talkin' U2 to me?

Schmitty isn't that far off…

In actiony games I tend to have a really cautious play-style — I go forward very slowly, snipe at an enemy with magic or arrows once they're visible, then melee 'em when they run up to me. This style would make Blighttown a lot more manageable, as it helps me avoid ambushes, but everything's so damn dark I can't see

Intelligent Qube! I had the same demo.

Hey-oh!

That's a Wii game that I think is underappreciated. I found myself using the hug button a lot, because, you know, if they're about to try some deadly jump or be separated, why wouldn't they hug first?

Finally setting aside some time in my life forDark Souls. I just got into this place called Blighttown. That sounds pleasant, right? I probably won't die a lot there.

Where's girard? Someone called Ocarina of Time a masterpiece!

I played so much DKC as a wee lad with the goal of getting 101% under an hour. The best I could do was 1:04. …and now I'm considering the fact that that was probably the best I will ever be at a certain skill in my lifetime!

It is also super hilarious.

This is the comment I was looking for! One of my all-time favorite game soundtracks.

Me too. Supertones, Five Iron Frenzy… I was so deeply into Christian ska that I even had all the Insyderz albums.

I once had a dream about playing Half-Life 2 with Super Metroid gameplay. It would be perfect! Ravenholm, Nova Prospekt, the beaches with the antlions, every level would make a great Super Metroid-style environment. The isolation and paranoia of a Metroid game would perfectly fit Half-Life 2's story. And the silent

Yesss. When I played Psychonauts for the first time last year, having my then 7- and 4-year olds along for the ride was the best part.

What the Shrike said. Stick with it! I am pretty terrible at games, and didn't beat Mom until like 30 hours of play. For me the turning point was playing all the challenges including in the Wrath of the Lamb DLC, which forced me to create some better strategies.
Anyway, the game definitely evolves the more you play

I was curious about Risen — I got it in a bundle a long time ago without even realizing it, but apparently I own it. Sounds interesting… what does it do that's so different?

I am just starting a new job and have had almost zero time for video games. So my weekend will be much like my week, which consisted of short, unsuccessful Binding of Isaac runs. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a few hours for Skyrim though!

That…. that kind of makes sense. I never thought I would say that about a plot summary of a latter-day Final Fantasy!

On top of a sheet! That's a good idea! I am constantly battling my kids' Lego sprawl. Last week I actually broke the skin on my foot after stepping on a 2x2 brick. There is no pain like Lego pain.
