Ah, let me know when they do Streets of Rage 2. Eddie "Skate" Hunter all the way!

You know… many/most people just watch TV shows and then don't go reading reviews of them on the internet. If you are "tired of hearing" what a TV critic writes about a show maybe you should become one of those people?

Me too; as a spotted inveterate semi-lurker those shitposts are my bread and butter.

You're right; his comments do make a lot more sense coming from someone who's a couple centuries old. And fictive. Maybe he's role-playing what Dorian Gray would say about modern video games! That explains it.

I usually go with muh-REE-o.

I didn't have much time for games this week, so still Final Fantasy IX. I'm in Kuja's desert palace dungeon thingie.

Damn, skipped down to comment after the first answer because that's mine as well. I get super-creeped out every time I see Patrick Fischler onscreen anywhere solely because of my memory of this scene.

@avclub-6d0cbc987f0ee695ca4e8d07ecde8d7a:disqus , you live up to your name.

I'm fine with Of Montreal and the song probably wouldn't bother me in another context. But coming after the gorgeousness that is Neon Valley Street.. it's just so jarring, sounds like it belongs on a different album.

Janelle Monae is my favorite musician currently working, and I've been listening to her music almost daily ever since her first EP came out. I am kind of obsessed with her and constantly forcing people to listen to her music.

1. I love your username. "SEGA!"
2. I'm curious, who were your tooth & nail buddies?

Read my blog

@avclub-1b8f6a3ae0bbd4c39911fb096055fc66:disqus I do that too, usually before I remember to be embarrassed that I know all the words. :\

Yeah, I only have that fact memorized because I was so surprised when I found out it wasn'tExplosions in the Sky

….except for the theme song, which is a Snuffy Walden composition.

It's really bizarre. A few years ago a bunch of my wife's friends started a book club and invited her. She loves to read books and talk about them, so why not, right? They took turns picking books and everyone else only chose YA books.
It's so weird. I mean, I read YA when I was actually a YA, and there were and are

…but will the truth be told?

To me, at least, it was the first major sitcom to really look at the idea of the real workplace. I mean, obviously there have been tons of workplace sitcoms already, but the workplaces were mostly just backdrops for the sitcom shenanigans. The Office was the first, or at least the best, to present a workplace remotely

Ah, finally a thread for us. Like most people, I had not seen the UK Office before seeing the American version. I can admire the UK version but can't really love it. And the first 5 seasons are pretty unimpeachable in my opinion. I hope these reviews aren't too heavy on comparisons between the two series — if I want

Totally. I'd much rather see more episodes than a movie.
