Jo Anderson! I loved her as Shiri Appleby’s mom on Roswell and in her 2-episode arc on Northern Exposure. She doesn’t seem to have worked in nearly a decade, I hope she’s not ill.

It tends to get lost in the juicy confirmed-bachelor narrative, I think. George has never said anything negative about Talia, just that he himself was too immature and “bad at being married” — I always got the impression he regretted having ruined that relationship by putting a ring on it, as the kids say ;)

Also, George married the completely age-appropriate Talia Balsam when he was 27 (she was 29), and after their split 4 years later he said he just didn’t think marriage was right for him.
