Except for today when the news broke that Sarah and Todd are getting divorced.

Yeah, the cat probably was thrilled!

As a kid I used to wait for my parents to leave me unsupervised in the dining room and then I’d shove my uneaten bread crusts behind the piano. Worked like a dream until a few years later when they actually moved the piano.

I loved it then. I still love it now. Those 6 actors are a crack ensemble with great chemistry and great timing, and I will never get tired of watching them together.

She did work her way up through at least a few not-so-glamorous fashion jobs before hitting the big time at Ralph Lauren. Her personal-shopper gig (where she had to help an 80-year-old woman try on a thong and she didn’t even buy it) was pretty crummy, and so was working as Joanna’s assistant buyer.

It was both a dark and glorious day when I learned DoorDash would deliver The Cheesecake Factory to my apartment.

I’d completely forgotten that cropped up in High Fidelity as well! Maybe he likes working his own personal favorites into his oeuvre?

Well, that’s just good sense on your part ;-)

Criterion released it on Blu-Ray and DVD just a few months ago. I thought it was great when I first saw it in college, but it has even more resonance now. Highly recommend revisiting it!
