I'm down with pretty much anybody who doesn't use autotune at this point.

she's not even fucking around with that autotune or that reverb or what-have-you. she's the real deal and i luv her to bits.

Dayum that girl is good.

It's not late, it's just been percolating.

Julie Andrews AND FUCKING CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER OKAYYY. Seriously, watching the SOM as a young child probably really screwed me up: distant, arrogant men are super attractive! (see also: Pride & Prejudice).

I attended a taxidermy class with my girlfriend (our version of a date— a really expensive date) and it was mega fun. We got frozen fancy rats and had to warm them up in our hands via massage for a few minutes. (A good time to get to know the little fellas!) Then we made an incision and peeled away the skin, which

I've just had a public mental breakdown over a spreadsheet and yesterday I got stuck in a new shirt and had to cut myself out of it.

If you want the full quote, she also said "... and the child at every christening."

This. Not to mention the fact that anthropologists and evolutionary psychologists aren't necessarily all in sync with the "we evolved to be polyamorous" theory. There are a few different schools of thought that say a few different things.

It's very nice that you found an environment in which you are happy, but I do wish people would stop deferring to evolution every single time. The people who write books and push the idea that humans "evolved" or "didn't evolve" to be monogamous or play football or drive a Toyota Cressida do so with very flimsy

I couldn't stop watching it. My mom was in a cult and I grew up around extreme Christian homeschoolers and wannabe Mennonites. That twee, super sunny, cheerful but incredibly tough survivor of spiritual abuse...I know that girl!

Are people never allowed to grow and evolve in their perspectives? When I was 17-20, I regularly espoused my beliefs that civil unions were fine, being trans was all made up nonsense, that abortion was wrong, and that affirmative action is bullshit.

Part of it might be how much anticipation I had after a million rewatchings of the first season. I still think its 95% better than most other tv, so it's a soft critique.

If if were simply a group mentality thing, wouldn't we have, at some point, discovered a propensity for these overt displays of racism across other campus groups as well? Clubs? Sports teams? ROTC? Even just tightly knit social circles? The reason this behavior flourishes specifically and with alarming frequency

I don't have children, but I still give the side eye to people who'd prefer to stay late at work, despite the fact that everyone else can accomplish the same work during normal hours.

Step 1: do whatever you want. Step 2: repeat every goddamn day.

I say really sarcastic things to commercials. Out loud. Like full out mocking them. And then I laugh, because I'm hilarious. It's really tragic.
