Well i suppose humor works for some people but not for Rick's group apparently.

Well yes humor is always good but I don't think Rick's group has any humor left in them considering the amount of deaths that piled up this past season notably with Beth. Also getting captured by a bunch of cannibals only after struggling to be on the road again after the fall of the prison would deplete any humor

I don't think the writers plan on having the two groups merge together ever.

Me too the focus on the main characters and who they are before the zombie outbreak is a nice change of pace from jumping right into the action. We get to see who these people are before the zombie outbreak changes them completely as it did with Rick and his group.

My point exactly.

Maybe they just wanted to handle the situation themselves. If they called the cops the cops may wrongfully decide to assume that the junkie was directly involved in some kind of murder due to the pool of blood. The parents decided that he should go to rehab and not face the possibility of going to jail instead.

You can't assume everyone is going to have a traditional reaction when something happens. Unpredictable reactions and responses is what makes the show interesting. You are trying too hard to pinpoint what is acceptable as appropriate logic given a certain situation by assuming people must react a certain way when

So what are you expecting exactly? We're you wanting the show to be more fast pace?

This is one of the few comments that I have read that makes sense and for that I respect you.

I mean it is really quite simple. This show and its parent show is for everyone. It does not need to have a particular target audience.

No my comment was in response to people who left comments saying "That pilot was horrible" with out elaborating as to why.

Because you know what good writing is?

Going from the viewpoint of first res-ponders and people who are equipped to handle crisis situations would be just as boring because they would have some experience as to how to handle it making the show even more predictable. Focusing on a family who has no experience with weapons and would be near clueless on how

Ok you may think it's boring but you cannot sit there and say it is "worse than bad."

I'd rather be sobbing than missing the ending lol.

Guess they didn't bother calling the cops because it is a regular place where shady shit happens all the time and far too frequent to be getting the cops involved every time.

They are not going to explain how or where the virus came from. This show is intended to show how society has crumbled under the weight of the virus in which a big city such as LA makes a perfect location in doing so. I thought the pilot was good but yes the junkies Johnny Depp appearance was a little milked in the

It does not need to be fast paced to be good. What did you expect? Have the characters jump right into a horde of zombies and start killing them.

You are bothered by the fact that he was turning off the AC to conserve fuel? Which by the way does conserve fuel to an extent. I do not see how that ruined the entire episode.

I missed the last ten minutes of the show because a storm rolled through our area.
