The Accord and Camry will survive just fine. It’s the sideline players which will get cut. The large sedans like the Taurus/Impala are what come to mind first. Then sedans of similar size will be combined into one vehicle, like the Nissan Maxima/Altima and the Hyundai Sonata/Azera, etc.

I forgot that Ford still made the C-max. I don’t think I have seen any in years.

Raymond Lowey did NOT design the Starliner! That was Bob Bourke!

Are you kidding me? The British always seem to be the most biased of all of them.

I think that the method of sale has an impact. I bought a motorcycle for half of what it should have sold for. However, I don’t feel bad because it was on eBay. I feel that since this was not some backdoor deal, it was fine, because anyone could have bid against me in that situation. I would have felt bad if I bought

And don’t forget the Truck Nutz!

That thing is just so ugly.

Yes but sadly, old GM never realized that AMG and M do a lot more than just throw on a body kit and a few extra parts. They completely change how the car feels. This is why most of GM’s performance packages from the 80's-90's never really worked.

Yep. We had the Buick version of this car. It passed 300,000 miles. It was still running strong when it got rear ended at a stop light.

We have environmentally friendly vehicles. They’re just slow, and heavily dependent on weather.

I can only imagine how that conversation between him and his dad went down. “Son, you’re just too small to work at a construction site. How about industrial design? You’re big enough for a factory setting.”

I know it’s a boring answer, but reliability is a major factor. One of the main reasons I love my Taurus is because in more than 11 years of ownership, it has never left me stranded on the side of the road. And when it does need maintenance/repairs, it is always such a cheap and quick repair.

Stories like that amaze me. Did they not test drive it before buying?

Sadly, I know bro’s like him. They never go for more intelligent partners. Odds are that the wife is similar.

True. It is a shame that the average IQ is only 100...

That’s fine with me. Let him waste his money. People like that are the reason we can get great two year old cars which have been barely used for half the price of new. Let them take the hit, and we’ll come in for the savings.

Motortrend magazine had a similar thing happen a few months ago. It didn’t completely shut down, but it still had several issues. So, this is not a one time event.

I see quite a few of these NP/CP cars with a similar theme. Sellers just do not understand that an ugly body kit does not double the price of your car!

Whatever happened to Matt Hardigree? I liked his articles, they used to have interesting topics.

I have no reason to get a different car. Other than regular maintenance and a few small things here and there, my car just keeps working perfectly. It’s completely stock, so I don’t know how much modifications cost, but I refreshed the front end with all new shocks, bushings, brakes, and bearings for less than $350. I
