If you really look at trademark laws, Ford was not being mean, they were forced to fight Ferrari. If they did not fight it, someone else could take the trademark from them they could have lost the trade mark permanently .

I would not call that Lagonda a “redeeming quality.” The electronic dashboard development cost over three times what they budgeted for the whole car. It was still a disaster. It broke down so much, the first car was delivered a year late, on a trailer, because it broke down on the three mile drive there.

I would not say that the Aston has redeeming qualities. The electronics were so unreliable that the first car was delivered on a trailer because it broke down on the way. Sure, it looks different, but build quality was abismal.
