We all know about the front whell drive and design, but it is really interesting when you get technical. The pre-selector transmission, creative veltilation system, hidden fuel door, there are so many interesting technical advancements in this car.

Packard. No question about that. It was the packard 120 which started their decline, their first car to sell for under $1,000.

No, not a Cherokee, I like the full size trucks. Apparently the Gladiator was renamed the J10 and J20 for the early 80's.

Jagurar XJ 220. It's going to have a V-12 they said. We get a V-6.

Wranglers never lose their value.

LLate 60's Cadillacs can be found in great condition for very cheap. Check out this seemingly perfect 1968 coupe for $9,995.

The picture is supposed to show a Jaguar XJ 220, but this new system won't accept it. Why do we keep changing formats every few months? It just complicates things.

Yes, it was the fastest car in the world, but they promised a V-12 but only delivered a V-6.

Any Jeep, the Wagoneer and the Gladiator are my favorites from the early 80's

Volvo.

Does this count?

I would say the first American FWD. The Cord L29. 125 horse power was a lot back then. The highest powered Ford was only 50 hp.

Yes! My answer was #1. Thanks Jalopnik.

The pods were pretty bad, especially on the Packard line. I also made that comment in the QOTD, but the 54-55 was the one that stuck.

But it's hard to improve on perfection.

1955 Studebakers. Although not unattractive, it was just sad compared to the year before.

I would buy that in a second if they brought it here.

And the rear.

This Vauxhall is quite nice. 1949 Roadster.

You never see classic Indy racers, like this straight 8 Studebaker from 1931.
