Did I read this article completely wrong? I kind of thought he was making fun of the way the media covers Ariel Winter? I probably read it wrong.

Beyonce would never release a picture to the public unless it was absolutely perfect. At least she’s literally proving that pretty really does hurt as I can see that shapewear and it looks painful.

Can we PLEASE stop idolizing the “celebrity post baby bod”? Most women aren’t supposed to exercise until 6 weeks. Many can’t for longer. For fucks sake, I could barely SIT without pain for 4 weeks. Your uterus is still shrinking regardless of how big you got and it takes time. Why do you think she waited?

Lol, I’m a mixed woman and I lit a few asses up over those comments. Enough white women tears going on over that article already to see my people rushing in to cape for they fragile asses.

I think black men are incredibly aware of what their actions do to black women. If we can rap about and popularize our abuse and subjugation of black women, we are past the point of feigning ignorance.

Oh and the people/commenters who thought the article was a rejection of mixed race people...the products of interracial relationships...

But most of the black women I know are RIDE OR DIE for black men. As a whole, we may have been focused on accomplishing our goals, but we’ve NEVER left black men behind.

Dave Chappelle has a joke about white women. “They were in on the heist. They’re just mad about their cut.”

The ones who really get me are the ones who can’t keep their damn trap shut.

And the painful part for me as a black man is the realization that throughout our history in the western world, Black women have remained as steadfast & loyal as no other group of women, given similar histories. Talk about massive betrayal!!

The article is fine, the comments are a shitshow. There’s a whole bunch of Beckies in their feelings because they think a Brown woman is shitting on their interracial relationships. The number of women pretending to be completely oblivious to their relative position of privilege and the fact that they as white women

All one has to do is click the link to Aditi’s piece and look at the white women tears/faux outrage. I’ll never forget the shit that was lodged at some of my favorite people here for simply pointing out the fact that the world is set up to put white women up on a pedestal.

Now playing

I’m guessing some of The Root writers got together last night and where like “Tomorrow’s Friday. Let’s see if these comment threads can turn into dumpster fires.”

I think you have to understand the basic tenet that white women have never been sisterly; they can never really be “counted on” when it comes to many, many issues because they have always been dependent upon and willing to DEFEND mediocre white men, be it their daddies, brothers, husbands or co-workers and yes, their

To the uninteresting troll:

Michael, sometimes I do get on you, but I want you to know that I genuinely enjoy your writing. Your sense of humor is bar none. But I can also appreciate things like this:

The number of white women who voted for him coupled with the number of people who didn’t vote means there are far fewer white women who voted for HRC than they want us to believe, but they stay crying about #notall. They need to sit.

Cue the #wellactually “It’s 53% of white women who voted” and “Not this white lady!”

I am disgusted with fake-ass Jesse. The translation for his claim that his marriage didn’t end because of Minka and this:

Minka and Jesse are both such beautiful, BEAUTIFUL, but boring actors, right? I mean I think Jesse is an activist IRL. But I don’t think either will ever make it big on the big screen or boob tube because I just don’t feel any charisma.
