Was it Grubbs Infiniti?
The genius of the Prius is still not quite appreciated. Not only for things like this, but for just how bulletproof they are. It’s even more impressive when you think of how new hybrid technology was when it came out. It’s about the cheapest non-EV you could possibly own - I know I miss my ‘04 terribly.
I can’t speak to the rest of GM, but Chevrolet is losing me with their engine pairings.
Are Model Ys available in any color other than white? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in any other color.
“It seems Tesla has some incentive to move some Model Ys...”
Gonna call BS on this. Compared to driving a Model Y, a comparable gas car is like driving a farm tractor. They outsell everything globally, and clearly they are worth whatever Tesla decides to charge.
I know you’re just trolling, but ignoring the EV drivetrain, can you get a remotely similar sized 4WD vehicle for $30K? Not even close.
Should we just ignore the fact that this person didn’t describe a situation where they “don’t drive a whole lot” or own a car that “barely ever gets used”?
No EV is going to stop working after 3 years. You clearly don’t know much about EV battery longevity. Heck, they’re even warrantied for at least 8 years. At worst, after 10 years an EV battery *might* degrade to 80% of its new-condition. That means a 300 mile range EV might be a 240 mile range EV, in 2033.
Dealer experience is a big deal. The discrepancy between a Toyota dealer (where I test drove a GX460) and the Lexus dealer (where I take the GX460 I bought elsewhere for service) is absolutely staggering. The Toyota dealer was such a slimy, abysmal experience that I will make sure to never set foot there again no…
They didn’t win anything they placed 15th in their class and 100th overall. They were the only Supra in the mile. The only thing they won is best liar award for a teacher.
I believe the Texas mile is a standing mile where they shoot for the greatest average speed over the course of a mile. Acceleration and top speed are paramount.
Obviously the guy is lying. What I’m more confused by is how a near-stock Supra won anything? Don’t know how the Texas Mile works, but it’s either straight-up top speed, or classed, and either way, I just don’t see the Supra beating out all its competitors. It’s fast, but 160 mph (in context here) is not that fast.
There are a lot of people who would rather put $70k into their FD RX7 than buy a new Cayman/M3 or other equivalent vehicle for the same money. It’s not a great look to shit on other people for making a car into what they’ve always wanted, solely because you don’t like it. If the financial take is your only other…
But after you flat-bed the vehicle you still can't get into it. Or start it.
You realize there’s a method of auto theft that can defeat pretty much any security device? It’s called a flat bed tow truck.
The fact that he won’t say what the “prank” was leads to the possibility that it wasn’t just a simple “prank.”
Any attempt at comment from the alleged shooter or their legal representation? Forgive me if I don’t take Cook’s “simple practical joke” statement at face value.
