Can’t we just watch Ronin?
Can’t we just watch Ronin?
we went full EV too, hands down the best financial decision we’ve ever made on a car.
My next car I want to be - at the very least - PHEV, but ideally EV.
Its one of the best decisions I’ve made (to not buy another ICE).
I would buy this car if it came in full EV form. I’m not buying any more cars with an internal combustion engine, PHEV or no.
One thing I really haven’t seen many people talk about it the future cost of gas. With more EVs and fewer ICEs, what’s going to happen to the gas supply? Will there be more available at lower cost for fewer cars allowing ICE vehicles to remain affordable to run? Will supply start to lessen and drive up cost for fuel…
Whether the conservative types buy them or not, they’re not going to have much choice here very soon. I do think EVs will be begrudgingly accepted en masse once the prices come down substantially and there’s more fast chargers around.
Agree with you, but 40% of those involving motorcycles is going to scare the shit outta me when I’m on my bike. That’s WAY higher than biker fatality percentages in total.
The answer is:
It also does not show the whole picture. When in autopilot you can override braking and slam into things and autopilot does not auto stop at stop signs or lights. I would like to see the full data, but 10 deaths compared to total fatalities and the number of Teslas on the road this does not concern me, but I also…
And you apparently don’t understand math, or are too interested in attention-seeking knee-jerk hot-takes to care. Ten fatalities in a year is in the noise margin compared to fatalities caused by human error. It could almost be taken as evidence that we should immediately put autopilot in all cars. BTW, being an angry…
1st gear: Wow, ten whole fatalities, eh? And, um, how many humans caused auto fatalities this year - hell, just today? I’m no Tesla fanboy, but this particular issue is blown out of proportion. Teslas may have roofs and bumpers that come off in the rain, and I’m not buying a car with a friggin’ yoke instead of a…
Another guy said his Wawa has em too. I didn’t know Wawa had started this. Good for them. I don’t even know where the nearest Wawa to me is from the Atlanta suburbs. I do know every other one of those chains I’ve visited around the suburbs of Atlanta do not have them.
the wawa we go to has, i think, 8 or 10 charging stations here in the DC exurbs.
I don’t see why Pilot, QT, Raceway, Racetrack, Wawa, Walmart etc couldn’t start installing 2-4 charging stations like gas pumps into their locations, and then start putting them into their blueprints for future places.
If the large chain gas stations would start implementing some charges into their gas stations. A lot of range anxiety would I think go away. I don’t see why Pilot, QT, Raceway, Racetrack, Wawa, Walmart etc couldn’t start installing 2-4 charging stations like gas pumps into their locations, and then start putting them…
That’s wild, especially since the sub-$20k price was such a huge talking point when the Maverick dropped. Nothing will ever be affordable ever again.
LOL, Pulp Fiction is my favorite movie, I watch it every Thanksgiving. Oh, you a racecar in the red? Well I'm a mushroom cloud laying...lol
I come from a family with a legacy of VW van ownership that spans more than half a century. It is a part of our culture. I’ve been excited about the evolution of the T-Line, but If I’m being honest this doesn’t hit the mark.
Why?
It isn’t the propulsion tech. I’m fine with this being an EV. That’s cool.
Here’s why.

3rd Gear: Saw a Rivian owner at a Kroger outside of Louisville in July and immediately started chatting him up; he loves it.
