Tons of people just want transportation and don’t much care about conversation starters if the price works.
That poor van... The back end of it, it’ll grow back right?
I think that driver will need to order a couple of new pairs of underwear from Amazon after this accident.
I recently read somewhere that, if you charge a Tesla’s batteries at it’s maximum charge rate every time, and drive the average amount, battery life is around six months.
Are you being snarky, or just don’t know?
Ye Gods, I must be kinda thick today. What am I missing??
I would imagine that the chargers themselves would have a localized charge storage. So the charger builds charge within the limitations of the grid, e.g., at 50-200 amps peak, over the course of an hour or so and then just keeps the charge topped off until it is needed to be used.
Batteries that can charge fast are the problem, not the conductors used to charge them.
I feel like this would require not just EVs built to accept this much power, but what are the odds the overall electrical grid could handle the peaky power delivery these types of chargers would create.
Groan! Can I subtract a star?
A little too much LOL
“Actually, the ’basket #5 is a screamin’ deal — these generally go for $6-8 grand.”
With a 0-60 of LOL and a top speed of tortoise, I’d say zero souls were lost to that design.
It’s also how banks keep a responsible person with good credit but not a lot of liquidity from getting into investment properties by requiring 20-30% down to even get in “the game.” Because if you could just go in with 5-10% down and rent enough to make double or triple the mortgage each month, then WAY more people cou…
Depending on where it is it’ll be the land that’s the real future money-maker.
And it's a good investment. That station will be profitable for at least 10 years. But you know the more money you can use to buy stuff, the more you will gain from it, and have the ability to pay a counselor explaining you how to do this kind of stunt. It's similar how some people buy houses and apartment one after…
