I would imagine it’s so that police can verify that vehicles are following the new regulations if they’re ever stopped. If a police officer pulled over a car that was in-use they could verify that the driver has fingerprints on file, for example. The fine for not having the light would need to be pretty steep though…

Absolutely! I just find a lot of those that bitch are some of the most hardcore players of whatever game they’re criticizing. Clearly, the developers are doing something right already.
