DC: where 500,000 people live, has good bus service. MD and VA: where 4.5 MILLION people live: has absolutely HORRIBLE bus and train service. My favorite train service is: Europe. The whole freaking EUROPE has excellent train service. So great.

I'll go you one better to show why it's okay. None of the following are sports, to my mind: NASCAR, Golf, Darts, Diving (into water), Dancing+<insert activity>, Team Bicycle races, Ice Skating, synchronized swimming or anything that needs JUDGES to determine the winner. Yet you will find all of them on ESPN, etc. So,

Do you have more articles like this for newbies to Cygwin? Geez, it's still installing after 3 hours at about 33% done. Thanks.

Or you could do what I did: Move a thousand miles away. Worked for me. Now this happens only when I go back which is ever 3 to 5 years. lol

I absolutely agree that RC should not be held up as any sort of paragon to be emulated. I think his approach to life is seriously flawed. However, I was not commenting on the goodness or badness of RC. I was commenting on the fact that, at least, he was trying to find out the answers to life. "Well adjusted" people

I think part of the "issue" is that some folk, like me, don't really think that the point of life is to be "well adjusted". Sounds like a timer setting. Rust, at least, tries to explore the reason for his dissatisfaction and to search for a "cure", if such a thing exists. I am happy for you that you are "well

Indeed. Quite a few (or most) of the readers of these sites have never encountered the concept of the "No Self" philosophy so his statement of his "No Person" philosophy (coupled with his nihilistic cynicism) riled quite a few "unsuspecting" folk . Generally, (seemingly) it's only those (of us) who are both genuinely

There seems to be a spiral in that picture going around the eyes. Is that a watermark in the picture? Just curious. Maine Coons are my 2nd favorite type of cat, just behind Ragdolls. Both are awesome.

Well, if they are religious (either way), then we don't really give a hoot if it offends them or not. If not, in the USA, Patrick is often shorten to Pat or Pattie (just like "Paddie"). D's and T's are so darn close in usage, like V's and B's in Spanglish, that using one instead of the other probably cannot be heard

Oddly, the 2nd biggest St. Pattie's Day parade is in Kansas City, MO. (Biggest: Dublin and I have attended them both. Dublin is AWESOME!! 1MILLION people on the parade route with hand-made floats [NOT Rose Bowl quality, thank god, and beautifully creative, really], bands from Ireland High Schools that do their darn

Jeez, if only that were real! And a 4-door. With cup-holders galore! With a convertible top. Bah-ha-ha! And yes, zip code 20151 here with a NEW CAR! Love my Ford 2013 Explorer XLT. I really do. Traded in a BMW 1-series for it. (Needed room for 4-6 folk.) Happy Spring!

Other replies are spot on. You do need all of the expansions. Generally, Blizzard has cut the cost to them to next to nothing. I would not actually recommend doing the $60 boost to 90 thing if you are new to WoW. (imho) Enjoy the learning of the game, realms, dungeons, etc. The free-to-play (to level 20) will help you

I just answer, and if it's a telemarketer, I just put the phone down, without hanging up. They hate that. Time is money for them. Supposedly, a guy who knows someone I know did that, and the telemarketer called him back to complain. The guy just laid the phone down again, explaining to my friend that "I don't know

I was actually going to submit that the images were fairly "blah" to me. However, if those same images made you happy, then, that's awesome. And I will just say, "hmm. Wish I had that reaction." Happy Thursday!

Even today, in Bhutan, giant penises are frequently drawn on the outside of houses and above doors for good luck, fertility, etc. Easily found on Google images, etc.

Have you seen that place? Navy ships, with 20 people living in a 15'x15'x8' room, had more room for living. I can just see the two "parties" having to live in such cramped quarters. (Wait a minute. That might be a REAL GOOD IDEA. Last Congressman alive gets to write the laws. Go!)

Agreed. And most of them don't care to learn. I am 100% for this, especially for me. Bring it on! (Maybe give folk who want and like to drive their option to do so. Today's driving tests for driving licenses do not come close to discovering who those people are.)

My first car was a new '76 VW bug. I *think* it cost me around $4500 . Saw a '77 VW yesterday with VA Antique license plates. Mixed emotions there! (Made in Brazil, I think.)

@SchuTangChan I see what you did there. Well done! (Helps that I went to UM, too.)

My mother-in-law, after a big stroke, was in such a medically induced coma for 3 months. She was given last rites twice. When they took off a piece of her skill to help with brain-swelling, they couldn't put it back in for 2 months. 4 months later, she woke up, totally, and within 3 months got back to 95+%
