@Shinta: Exactly, worded it better than I could. Individual elements may be better technically speaking, but the vastness of Twilight Princess, Galaxy, Monster Hunter, Xenoblade, etc. all make them a better total package.

Looks like the engine uses some really clever instances of static lighting and shading, well done Mr Carmack. Haven't played yet, but he seems to have taken advantage of the strengths of the system quite well.

@azurianlight: I don't think I've seen him listed as a great "character" before. It's just the image as the cover boy for the Halo series. He's pretty generic as far as protagonists go.
