@Howunfortunate: It depends on the player of course, but the Wiimote is the only way I get some semblance of proficiency on console shooters. Dual analog is clunky and slow in my experience.

@puffa469: It's way better than dual-analog. But, as Hotline said, it supports that too.

@warpwhistle: In your defense, you are a magical whistle. Your skinny stature is expected.

@TRT-X: I second the Kwan idea.

@reuniteireland: As far as I understand it, Xbox had better raw specs and could do some things better. But Gamecube had its graphical strengths too. I only owned a Gamecube last gen, and it looked really good, so I'm not being an Xbox fanboy or anything.

@Shiryu: Ugh, haven't picked up yet. May ask for fer Christmas... or maybe just jump to Black Ops. I played through much of World at War though.

@Walking Eye!: Yeah, sometimes you get checked for related stats instead of speech. Like when you have to rally up the townsfolk, to convince the shop owner to help you with his dynamite you need a high explosives skill.

@alphaprologist: Probably already taken though. All the good band names are, like Cattle Decapitation.

@freedomweasel: It's a PS2 port, so that may explain the wonkiness.

@breadofwonder: I think you might be looking at last gen consoles through rose-colored glasses. Not sure even the Xbox could look that good back then.

@alphaprologist: THERE ARE BANDITS?!?! COME ON MAN SPOILERS!!!!

"Deciding to dump my sniper rifle for an energy sword is a meaningful choice."

@freedomweasel: I was staring at your star, thinking... I didn't see that before! Nice!

@freedomweasel: Yes, but there are also less black and white good / bad choices. It's a lot more gray (ironically, the gameworld is a lot LESS gray.) You gain reputations, good or bad, with different factions in the game too.

@SamKablam: So do you like Lil Wayne?

Put 4 hours into New Vegas last night. Loving it so far. I'm not gonna rag on Fallout 3 or anything, but the subtle adjustments and minor changes in tone from that game make a big difference.

@Wess28: Half-Life 3, easily.
