Trust me.. they don't. Just finished a 2-day project of putting in all new upper and lower oil seals, new VC gaskets and intake manifold gaskets... all of which were desperately needed as the whole engine bay was coated in sludge. I guess that's what you get for $1000, though!

My parents still have a 94 2WD and I love that thing. I learned how to drive stick on it. I would also buy a brand new one in a heartbeat.
