I owned a fwd 1.9l ford escort wagon with a manual for a winter beater one year, holy crap that car was fun, I can’t explain it and it saddens me that most people who enjoy driving will probably never get to experience this car in the way I did.

Sorry I was more or less speaking of my personal ideal setup. I drive rwd in the summer for fun, impractical and “getting the lines right on pavement”. I buy my hatchbacks for winter driving, practicality and regular daily driving but want them to be as much fun as possible at the same time.

most the cars I’ve owned have been fwd and with bliazzaks few can keep up with me traveling (because most people don’t get proper tires), I was talking about having fun in the snow!! a fwd with snow tires is nowhere near as fun in the snow as a reear wheel bias awd:D and these cars are about having fun.

I forgot the phallic taillights on the focus, and that’s no maybe baby, but I got so used to them so I forgot how horrible they are

I mean look at this chart showing the questionable and/or ridiculous design choices, comparing the two. This alone should be a good reason not to be seen in one or the other:

and looking better, more cohesive and not looking like someone made a Lamborghini kit car for a Hyundai veloster, and also being able to drift and being better in the snow....

I think that when it came out it may have been considered uglier at the time, but it has aged into a sweet, better looking car to me. The box flares are way cooler than the slabsided mustang, wish they were a little more pronounced.

I want to know the mpg figures for the damn 4cyl turbo hybrid damnit! Everyone keeps posting the improved v6 mpg number and I have yet to see the 4bangers!

You didnt take it up any hills yet have you. I drove a rental versa note through aspen and it literally was floored going uphill at 25mph on a 50mph road people were getting pissed at me!

Not just american issuesn It’s  comon problem with the crossfire (german built/mercedes) headliners. They took all that extra time and manufacturing cost to add the cool “spine” in the middle only to use materials that would fail over time.

one of the first cars designated as a roadster could be had with more than two seats, right?
