Truly one of the worst mainstream directors working right now. I don’t even like District 9. It’s turgid and overwrought and the central metaphor (black people = ugly aliens) is off-putting to say the least

He’d be a great video game director. That’s the best I can say about him.

Agreed. District 9 (I will cherry pick here) is terribly overrated. I found it borderline unwatchable.

I’m not so confident about this movie considering that Neil Blomkamp has only made one truly good movie, District 9.

Logan’s a Run was always one of my favorite movies! I don't care what anyone says,must I still think it is an awesome flick.

The Super Seventies flavor is the most it has going for it. It was also the first movie that prompted me to wonder how one dodges a light gun, as you would only see the beam at the same time it reached you.

totally disagree. it’s an awesome film. It’s the soundtrack that ruins the experience of it for so many. if only it had an orchestral score....

I loved it. It came out when there wasn’t much by the way of sci fi around and as a teen when I saw it at the theater I was jazzed by the film. Pluss there were boobies!

Did you see it first run back in 1976? I did. You’re right, by today’s standards it was not a great movie. But I find it difficult to believe that any scifi fan who saw the movie back in 1976 would classify it as anything other than great.

Jenny Agutter was the only good thing about “Logan’s Run”. Even today, 39 years later, she’s still gorgeous. She was in Captain America - The Winter Soldier.

It was highly prophetic though (or I guess the book was): like when the Sandman “downloads” Jenny Agutter to his room, reminds me of Tinder.

I loved the first season but there is a pretty good chance this might be why! I think McConnaughey and Harrelson could pull off the sometimes-very-ridiculous dialogue better too, as much as I love McAdams and Farrell (outside of this show).
