Damn, the comments keep rolling on this one. Look, to you people saying they play their 360/PS3 more than your Wii which sits around collecting dust: OF COURSE YOU DO, YOU ARE CONSIDERED HARDCORE GAMERS. Nintendo has made it plain plenty of times that they are focusing at lest as much if not more so on casual gamers.

Back when I was in school in the 80's, it was popular among young hooligans to commit acts of violence on people and take their sneakers. We didn't have news outlets going around all like "Footwear is a huge cause of violent crime!"

@Poochy: I think you calling other people immature is almost as ironic as this article to begin with. Why are you defending this guy when he is well-known for violent outbursts and general asshattery, then jumping up people's backsides when they post their opinion? And also, if you have such a problem with kotaku you

@EndersGame: Attach rate on the wii isn't that important to nintendo anyway because they actually make money from console sales.

This from some of the same dummies that were calling the DS 'gimmicky' and 'a fad'. They never learn.

We'll see if they can keep it free a year or two from now. Sony will lose a hell of a lot of money, especially if the PS3 really catches on.

If they're splitting it up into chapters I guess they ditched the weird timeline structure of the original (which I thought was one of the more intersting aspects of the game really). If they can make it less frustrating and tedious it would probably be a good thing, but I have to say even though it pissed me off I

@Barbara: So play the original games, this trend of making new games look like old games is silly.

@frank0127: My beef is not so much the graphics as Capcom's willingness to milk every last cent out of the franchise. Capcom pretty much invented franchise-milking with the series.

This only has an famicom/nes look because, in true Capcom fashion, they wanted to slap together a game for some easy money. They should have gone with the Megaman 7/8 type graphics, or at least a Megaman Powered Up-type look.

@jacksons98: This is hardly a new development, horseracing sims have been popular in japan at least as far back as th super famicom if not earlier. And also I don't believe that any Metal Gear games has sold over a million in japan. Different strokes and all that.

@wicko: Well that makes it even more impressive considering they'd have to sell a ton more dvd's just to break even with the sales of your average $60 game.

@Gray665: No, they published it, there's a difference there.

@7ucky: It was great if you like dull fpses where every battle feels the same.

@TheGamesta: You, and also half of the internet.

Yes, I am a hoarder. I like variety and have odd cravings to play certain games again from time to time. Don't keep precise count of them but here's my have list on Mobygames:

More importantly, what the bloody hell is a Goonzu?

@onidavin: Peggle is Puzzle Bobble and Pachinko's awkward lovechild.

What's up with not having Darklands on the list? There's your first open-ended RPG right there. Great game, totally under-appreciated.
